A service
Garador puts the average garage door at around 1,500 openings a year. A first service within 12 months, then one every two years, keeps it running smoothly and is required to keep Garador’s warranty valid.

Pick narrow or wide panels and a Colorsteel® colour, and watch the door change. At the measure you can see real colour samples against your cladding.
Darker colours can make the small, normal imperfections of flatter doors easier to see. We’ll talk it through at the measure.

Which door suits my home: roller, sectional or Flex‑A‑Door?
A Garador roller door suits openings up to 3.2 m wide with about 400 mm of headroom. A sectional door suits openings from 2.4 m to 6.6 m wide, can be insulated, and has the widest choice of styles and colours. Flex‑A‑Door replaces an old tilt door and needs as little as 80 mm of headroom when operated by hand. We confirm which fits at the free measure.
How much does a new garage door cost?
Every door is made to measure, so your exact, GST-inclusive price for the door, opener and installation comes after the free measure at your home. Ask for a quote and we confirm it in writing before any work starts.
What warranty comes with a Garador door?
Garador sectional doors carry a 5-year, 10,000-cycle warranty. Garador openers carry a 5- to 7-year warranty depending on the model, with 7 years including the electronics on premium openers. Buy a Garador sectional door and a Genius HD, Genius or Precision opener as a package, register it, and have it serviced by an Authorised Garador Dealer within the first 12 months and every two years after, and Garador’s Reliability Warranty covers the door’s components and labour (excluding springs) for 10 years and the opener for 10 years or 20,000 cycles. Warranties are provided by Garador (B&D Doors NZ Ltd).
Do you repair doors that aren’t Garador?
Yes. We repair and service Garador doors and openers and most other brands. The service is mobile, so we come to you.
How long does a new door take?
Most installations take about a day once your made-to-measure door arrives. Lead times vary by style and colour, and we give you a date with your quote.
Can I have windows in my door near the coast?
Garador advises against window insets in coastal environments, because salt air is hard on them. We follow Garador’s coastal guidance on finishes and talk you through the options at the measure.
