Garage door repairs
Garage door off its tracks.
A door that has jumped its tracks can drop or jam. Keep clear of it and call us.
- Stop using the door
- Mobile repairs across Auckland
- Garador and most other brands
What it usually means
Sectional doors run on rollers in tracks each side. A knock from a car, a worn roller, a broken cable or a bent track can lift a roller out, and the door sits crooked or jams. Forcing it, with the opener or by hand, bends more and risks the door coming down.
What to do right now
Stop using the door
- Don’t use the door or the opener.
- Keep clear of it, and keep the car out if it’s half-open over the bonnet.
- Don’t try to lever the rollers back in; cables under tension can let go.
- Call us. A photo helps us bring the right rollers and track sections.
SafetyGarage door springs and cables are under extreme tension. Adjusting or releasing them is a job for a trained technician.
What we do
We support the door, check the cables and springs for the cause, straighten or replace the track and rollers, re-seat the door and re-test the opener’s travel limits and safety reverse.
